“Genesis Chapter 3”

Services at 8:30 am and 11:00 am

Sunday November 3rd, 2017

Genesis 3:1 -17

Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

This coming Sunday, December 3rd, is the First Sunday of Advent, which marks the beginning of the Christmas Season.  In order to emphasize the importance of the season, a wreath with I’ve candles is placed on the Communion Table.  The first candle will be lit signifying that we have begun our preparation for the celebration of our Lord’s birthday.  Each following Sunday, one additional candle will be lit until all five candles are lit on Christmas morning.  The first four candles symbolize Love, Joy, Hope and Peace, and are an outward way of proclaiming the fact that only through Jesus Christ can we manifest the Fruit of the Spirit.  Next Sunday, our message will be from "Genesis Chapter Three.”  Invite a friend to join us, because without Genesis, the rest of the Bible doesn’t make sense.

Wednesday Worship Service

Hanging of the Greens Service

Next Wednesday, December, 6th at 7:00 p.m., we will be having a special worship service and celebration known as the “HANGING OF THE GREENS” at 7pm.  This is a great opportunity to invite your friends and neighbors to come and hear the Old Testament Prophecies and the New Testament Fulfillment concerning the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, to join in singing Christmas songs, to hear the choir and soloists, and to see the sanctuary decorated in green.  Refreshments will be served in the overflow room after the service, and you are asked to bring your favorite dessert to share.
