“What About Jesus

Services at 8:30 am and 11:00 am

Sunday March 25th, 2018

1John 3:5

And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

Next Sunday, March 25th is Palm Sunday.  This marks the beginning of the week known as “Holy Week.”  On this day, as Jesus rode into Jerusalem, the crowds ran before Him shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David, blessed is He who cometh in the Name of the Lord, Hosanna in the highest!”  They hailed Him as King, but only a few short days later, they nailed Him to the cross.  Before Jesus entered the city, He looked down upon Jerusalem and cried out, “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou killest the prophets and stones them which are sent unto thee.  How often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!”

Today, Jesus is crying the same words as He looks down upon our city of Fort Lauderdale, “How I would take you under my care but you will not listen to me.”  How important it is for us to invite our neighbors and friends to come worship with us on these next two Sundays so they have the opportunity to hear what Jesus is saying to a world that seems too busy for Him.

Next Sunday, March 25th, our message is entitled, “What About Jesus."
