“ALL THINGS NEW”
THIRD SUNDAY BEFORE EASTER
TIME CHANGE - MOVE CLOCK FORWARD ONE HOUR
NEXT SUNDAY

REMEMBER, THE TIME CHANGES NEXT SUNDAY, MARCH 14TH AS WE MOVE OUR CLOCKS FORWARD ONE HOUR. IF YOU FORGET, YOU WILL BE ONE HOUR LATE FOR OUR WORSHIP SERVICE AND BIBLE STUDY CLASSES.
NEXT SUNDAY, MARCH 14TH IS THE THIRD SUNDAY BEFORE EASTER. THIS MEANS THAT WE HAVE LESS THAN A MONTH BEFORE THE GREAT VICTORY DAY OF EASTER. NOW IS THE TIME TO CHECK AND SEE HOW YOU HAVE BEEN DOING IN YOUR SPIRITUAL PREPARATION. AS YOU RECALL, YOU WERE GIVEN FOUR GUIDES TO HELP YOU WITH YOUR LENTEN EXPERIENCE BEGINNING ASH WEDNESDAY. SEE HOW WELL YOU ARE DOING IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:
(1) YOU WERE GIVEN A QUARTER FOLDER. AS YOU BEGIN EACH DAY OF LENT WITH PRAYER AND SCRIPTURE, YOU WERE ASKED TO PLACE A QUARTER IN THE FOLDER TO MARK THE DAYS OF YOUR JOURNEY (EXCLUDING SUNDAYS). THIS IS AN EXCELLENT TIME FOR YOU TO READ THE LAST SEVEN CHAPTERS OF THE GOSPEL OF JOHN. ON EASTER YOU MAY BRING THE FOLDER ALONG WITH YOUR EASTER OFFERING.
(2) BECAUSE FASTING (ABSTINENCE FROM FOOD) IS SUCH A SPECIAL WAY OF SEEKING THE FACE OF GOD IN PRAYER, IT IS SUGGESTED THAT WE AS A CONGREGATION FAST ONE DAY EACH WEEK DURING THE LENTEN SEASON. REMEMBER, FASTING DOESN’T MEAN MUCH UNLESS IT IS LINKED WITH FERVENT PRAYER.
(3) IT IS OUR GOAL FOR EVERY MEMBER AND FRIEND TO HAVE PERFECT ATTENDANCE IN WORSHIP FOR THE NEXT THREE SUNDAYS IN LENT. IF YOU HAVEN’T ACHIEVED THIS GOAL THUS FAR, PLAN ON BEING IN WORSHIP WITH YOUR FELLOW CHRISTIANS ON THE REMAINING SUNDAYS: MARCH 14TH, 21ST, AND 28TH, AS WE PREPARE FOR THE GREAT VICTORY DAY OF EASTER ON APRIL 4TH.
(4) YOU ARE ASKED TO INVITE YOUR FRIENDS, RELATIVES AND NEIGHBORS TO COME AND SHARE THE BLESSING OF THE LENTEN SEASON BY WORSHIPING WITH US ON THE THREE REMAINING SUNDAYS IN LENT. NOW IS THE TIME TO ALSO INVITE YOUR GUEST FOR EASTER SUNDAY.
REMEMBER, WHAT YOU PUT INTO YOUR EASTER PREPARATION IS WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE ON THE GREAT VICTORY DAY.
NEXT SUNDAY, MARCH 14TH I WILL BE PREACHING A MESSAGE ENTITLED, “ALL THINGS NEW.”
DR. JOHN

WEDNESDAY WORSHIP
“ROB, THE PIANO MAN”

Next Wednesday, March 17th at 6:45 p.m., during our worship service, our guest speaker will be Rob Chassner of Aventura, FL. Rob was born and raised in a conservative Jewish home, was very active in the Jewish communities, and led services from the pulpit in Hebrew at a synagogue. Rob came to know the Lord in April 2005, while attending a presentation of Christ in the Passover. He is a survivor of Leukemia and has devoted much of his work to helping people to improved health through the use of Ionized Alkaline Water and is a distributor for The Enagic Kangen Water Co. Another of Rob’s passion is playing the piano and he has been performing in various venues for the past 25 years.
Rob will be doing a short concert on the piano and then giving his testimony of “How I Came To Know Christ.” Don’t miss it! Bring a friend or two along with you.

QUARTER FOLDERS

As we anticipate the Great Victory Day of Easter, the quarter folders help us to mark the days of our journey through the Lenten Season. It is suggested that you place the folder on your kitchen table. As you begin each day with prayer and scripture, place a quarter in the folder, or let your children place the quarter in the folder each day, and it will help them to anticipate the Great Victory Day of Easter.

RETRO 30-HOUR FAMINE

On Friday, March 19th - Saturday, March 20th, the members of RETRO will be participating in the 30-hour famine. We are asking for a couple of things to make this an awesome event: lots of cheap wooden rulers (for making crosses), used picture frames (5x7 or 8x10), and most important, SPONSORS are needed (all proceeds will go to World Vision).
